Dr Bantwal is the current President of the Endocrine Society of India (2020-21)
He has been the secretary of the Endocrine Society of India (2006-2009)
He was also the Vice-president Endocrine Society of India (2013-2014)
He is a member of the Endocrine Society of America
Dr Bantwal has received several prestigious awards: Dr Sunilkumar Basu oration award 2019, Nada Gowda oration award 2009 and the RSSDI oration award 2014 to name a few
His research papers are published in more than 85 peer-reviewed journals
