Dr. Ganapathi Bantwal, Prof. & HOD Endocrinology, St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore
- Dr Bantwal is Imm. Past President of the Endocrine Society of India (2020-21)
- He has been the past Secretary of Endocrine Society of India (2006-2009)
- He has been the past Treasurer of Karnataka Endocrine Society
- He was also the Vice-president of the Endocrine Society of India (2013-2014) and is a member of the Endocrine Society of America
- He has also been the past Joint Secretary & Vice President at Karnataka RSSDI (Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India)
- He has been the principal investigator in more than 80 clinical trials
- His special interest lies in GDM and hyperparathyroidism

- He has 100+ publications in National & International journals
- His research papers are published in more than 85 peer-reviewed journals
Achievements:
- He has been awarded Dr. Sunilkumar Basu oration award 2019
