Kolkata city’s heart and lung transplant scenario to accelerate

BGS Gleneagles Global Hospitals Bangalore and GD Hospital and Diabetes Institute, Kolkata today announced joint promotion initiative for Heart, Lung, and Pancreas Transplants in West Bengal to serve the local community.


This brings together two stalwarts of the healthcare industry to ensure that clinically excellent and innovative solutions are available for the population of West Bengal. This is an initiative to build awareness regarding end-stage heart and lung conditions and to build a strong transplant program in the city. The heart and lungs are among the most important organs of the body. Failure of the lungs and heart to carry out their functions results in progressive and irreversible conditions known as the respiratory and cardiac failure.
