Doctors from the St. Peter's Specialised Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia have extracted 122 iron nails and other sharp objects from the stomach of a mentally ill man.

Apart from the 4-inch nails, doctors also found 4 pins, a toothpick, and a broken glass piece. The 33-year old man who has been mentally ill for the last 10-years is believed to have discontinued his medication in the last two years. Doctors mentioned that it could have been during this period that he began consuming inanimate objects, but luckily none of those objects cut his stomach.
