Photodermatology, Photoimmunology and Photomedicine Sep 07, 2017

Goyal K, et al. – This research analyzed the perceptions of U.S. dermatology residency program directors (PDs) in terms of the effectiveness of their programs’ phototherapy training and the constitution of adequate phototherapy education. A mismatch was disclosed between the resources devoted to phototherapy education and the necessity of dedicated training reported by PDs. Limited time was given for the phototherapy training during dermatology residency. It was observed that a large majority of PDs did not feel that the phototherapy training offered was completely adequate.
