Mycoses Jan 31, 2018

Chandrasekar P, et al. - This study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of micafungin for the invasive candidiasis/candidaemia treatment in patients with neutropenia (<500 neutrophils/μL) and those without neutropenia. Regardless of the duration of neutropenia or Candida spp, micafungin was discovered to be effective against the invasive candidiasis/candidaemia in patients with neutropenia. However, findings revealed that the overall success could be lower in such candidates compared to the individuals without neutropenia.
