Chest tube drainage vs needle aspiration for primary spontaneous pneumothorax: Which is better?

Wang C, et al. - This study entails comparison between two main treatments for primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP) viz, needle aspiration vs chest tube drainages. Findings necessitated the application of needle aspiration in PSP patients in order to achieve reduced hospitalization rate and short hospital stay, however, these treatment options had no significant difference with respect to immediate success rate, one-year recurrence rate, one-week success rate, three-month recurrence rate or complication rate.
