Mostafa RM, et al. - An inquiry was set up with regard to the ramifications of cigarette smoking on semen parameters and DNA fragmentation on infertile patients who were divided into infertile male nonsmokers and infertile male smokers. Detrimental effects were reported of cigarette smoking on semen parameters. It exerted a negative impact on all conventional semen parameters in addition to sperm chromatin condensation and sperm viability. Additionally, these abnormalities were proportional to the number of cigarettes smoked per day and to the duration of smoking.
