A role of the endothelial nitric oxide system in acute renal colic caused by ureteral stone

Bulbul E, et al. – The researchers investigated the possible effects of endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene polymorphisms on ureteral stone disease in patients who were admitted to the emergency department with severe pain due to renal colic. This study revealed that no relation was found, although this study was the first in the literature to examine the relationship between renal colic and endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene polymorphisms.
