About the presenter:
Dr. Vinayak Maka is the HOD of department of medical oncology at Ramaiah Medical College and Sr Consultant at HCG-MSR Cancer Center, Bangalore
- He is also the Medical Oncology Consultant at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and is also associated with Blood and Marrow Transplant Physician, Clinical Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit
- Dr. Vinayak is a MD (General Medicine), DM (Medical Oncology) and has also completed his Clinical Fellowship Haematology and BMT, Singapore
- He has an ESMO certification in Medical Oncology
- He is familiar with carrying out autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantations
- He has 24 indexed publications in various peer reviewed journals and 10 poster conference presentations including 8 international presentations
- He had been the principal investigator and co-investigator for multiple international clinical trials
- Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant started in 1985 and since then he has performed more than 1,000 transplants, including international patients
- Dr. Vinayak Maka has been the recipient of several citations, awards and grants for his outstanding efforts at conferences and other academic events
