• Dr Govind has completed his M.B.B.S. from St.John’s Medical College, Bangalore & M.D. (General Medicine) from Bangalore Medical College
• He pursued his D.M. (Medical Oncology) from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore in 1995
• Dr. Govind was a former Professor and HOD of Medical Oncology at the prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology
• He has been an Executive Board Member of the Indo-American Cancer Association since 2001
• He has been honoured with several Awards and Orations & the most recent one he received was Lifetime Achievement Award 2023, Indian Cancer Congress, ICC November 2023, Mumbai
• He was also Honoured for his outstanding contribution to Cancer care at the international    symposium on precision oncology , Kokilaben  Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai , April 2023
• He has more than 35 years of practising experience and has headed various professional organisations at the state and national levels
• He has  research and publications under his name and  has also been Examiner at several universities
