About the presenter:
Dr. Lakshmi Vasudevan is a Senior genetic consultant at the Centre for Medical Genetics Mulund, Mumbai since 2013.
- She has been in the medical field for more than 45 years
- She has completed her Diploma in child health in June 1977 & M.D. in paediatrics in June 1980 from seth G.S. Medical college and ranked 3rd in the university
- She has also completed her M.S in Anatomy in June 1990 and ranked 1st in the university
- She has been the visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Genetics and Paediatrics at Duke university medical Centre Durham North Carolina, USA From Jan 2002 to Dec 2002
- She has worked as the senior genetic consultant at genetic research Centre Parel, Mumbai from Dec 2009 to Dec 2013 and has been the professor in the department of Anatomy and physician in charge of genetic OPD from April 2006 to Oct 2010 at KJ Somaiya medical college and hospital Mumbai
- She has also been the professor at Pondicherry institute of medical science from March 2012 to Dec 2012
