About the presenter:
Dr. Vineesh Mathur is the Director & Head of Orthopaedic Spine Services at Medanta hospital
- He has been in the medical field for more than 30 years
- He has been an associate director in the orthopaedics department at Medanta-The Medicity, Gurgaon between 2013-2016
- He has been a senior consultant in orthopaedics and spine surgery, at Medanta the Medicity, Gurgaon from 2009-2013 Managing all varieties of adult spine disorders, degenerative, traumatic, inflammatory, infective and neoplastic
- He has been a visiting consultant in the orthopaedic department at Paras Hospitals & Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, Vasant Kunj & chief orthopaedic surgeon at Kalyani Hospital
- He has been a senior resident in the department of orthopaedics in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi between 1992-1995 & Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi in 1992
- He attended the advanced cervical spine workshop of the Cervical Spine Research Society in Barcelona in November 2010
- He was a fellow in spine surgery at the National University of Seoul in Korea in July 2010 and worked with a well-recognised expert in endoscopic spine and cervical spine surgery
- He has been the recipient of the Rotary Travelling Fellowship in 2002
- He has been a member of the Association of Spine Surgeons of India, the Indian Medical Association, The Indian Orthopaedic Association and the National Academy of Medical Sciences
- He is a lifetime member of the Gurgaon Orthopaedic Club, the Delhi Orthopaedic Association and the Association of Spine Surgeons of India
Publications:
- He has published several papers in the biochemistry of human stress, the Ilizarov technique and use of pedicular screw fixation in the spine
- He has been awarded a Junior Research Fellowship of the ICMR during his internship and well trained in the methodology, and statistical methods of scientific research
