• Dr. Rakesh Gupta had advanced training in Cardiology from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, USA, 1991
• He was the first Dr to establish Echo & Color Doppler Centre in Sunder Lal Jain Hospital, Ashok Vihar –II, Delhi in 1996
• He has been in the field of cardiology for more than 31 years
• He has organised multiple echo workshops in the prestigious annual conference of the Cardiological Society of India as Chairman Echo Council 2002-2008
• He has worked as the president of the Indian Academy of Echocardiography (2008-2010)
• He was the vice president of the National Cardiological Society of India (2016-2017 & 2019-2020)

Publications:

• He has been Editor in Chief of the Journal of the Indian Academy of Echocardiography
• He has published his own textbook on Fetal Echocardiography, a DVD of basics of echocardiography
• He has recently released the 2nd edition of his book on Comprehensive Echo Doppler Evaluation
• He is presently writing a book of Echocardiography for practitioners
• He has More than 23 publications in International and National Journals

Awards:

• He has been awarded as an Adjunct Professor of Cardiology at Parul University, Vadodara, Gujarat
• He has been honoured with several awards including the Lifetime achievement award in Cardiology from the President of India in 2006
• He has been bestowed with Fellowships of various National and International societies including FCSI, FICP, FIAE,FACC, FASE and FISCU
