Two booked for manhandling & beating Thane doctor, ransacking his clinic

The Rural Police have booked two people from Mira Road for alleged manhandling of a doctor and beating him as well as ransacking his clinic.
An offence under sections 323, 352, 427, 504, 506 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code and also section 3 of the Medical Profession Rules, 1961 was registered with the Mira Road police station against the duo on 4th September, police said on 5th September and informed that no arrest has been made so far in this connection.
According to the police, the 80-year-old father of the alleged accused, Yogesh Mishra, was having a bout of vomiting and for which the complainant doctor, Nilesh Dahule (37), had visited their home to
treat him. It was in intervening night of September two and three, the doctor once again visited their house as the accused's father was not keeping well and he offered to arrange for another doctor or shift him to a big hospital for treatment, as his own son had a high fever.
Later in the small hours of September 3, Mishra informed Dr Dahule that his father died on way to the big hospital and sought a death certificate from the complainant for being the family doctor. When the complainant asked Mishra to collect the death certificate from his clinic in the morning at around 0800 hours or 0900 hrs, the accused did not do so but later in the evening went to the doctor's clinic, accompanied by an unidentified man, and manhandled the doctor before beating him.
The accused persons also ransacked the clinic. When the doctor raised an alarm and demanded to call the police, the duo escaped from the scene, it was stated in the complaint.
