Three doctors from a private clinic in Gurugram have been booked by the PCPNDT team for conducting illegal abortions.

The doctors- Dr. Abha Bansal, Dr. Anil Bansal, and Dr. Ravi were caught after the PCPNDT team set up a decoy patient couple to consult with them at the clinic for an abortion. Dr. Ravi referred the couple to Dr. Abha Bansal after a deal was made to terminate the pregnancy for Rs. 40,000.

Dr. Abha Bansal carried out an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy. She had already set up the abortion equipment at this team. The PCPNDT team later found that the doctors had not maintained any records of abortion conducted at the clinic even though it is mandatory to do so under the MTP act. The team also found several MTP kits at the clinic. The doctors have been booked under several sections and an FIR has been registered against them
