Rs 7.5 cr for upgradation of Peddapuram area hospital: Dy CM

The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh mentioned during an inauguration function that Rs. 7.5 crores has been sanctioned to upgrade an area hospital at Peddapuram, as a move to improve heealthcare in the state.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Homer Nimmakayala Chinarajappa has said that the area hospital at Peddapuram would be soon upgraded into 100-bedded hospital. Addressing a function after inaugurating the eye testing center at the area hospital at Peddapuram, he said, the Nabard had already sanctioned Rs 7.5 Crores. He asked the hospital superintendent to prepare the site in the hospital for its up gradation.
Claiming that the chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was according priority to improve the medical facilities all over the state, he said the existing government hospital at Samalkot would be developed into 30 bedded for which Rs 3 Crore was sanctioned. Arrangements are being made to open dialysis centers at Rajahmundry and Kakinada to provide better medical care to the kidney patients. Similarly a branch of the Basavatarakam memorial cancer hospital Hyderabad would be established at Vijayawada’ he added. Later Mr Chinarajappa has distributed spectacles free of cost to the poor patients. Municipal chairman Raja Suribabu Raju has chaired the function.
