The nursing students of VSSIMSAR Burla will resort to dharna before the office of the Director at Bhubaneswar on August 10 demanding removal of principal Snehalata Oram.

Since last 25 days the nursing students are sitting in dharna at Burla accusing the Principal of misbehaving with them and indulging in corruption. The students regretted that neither the state government nor the health department in particular are listening to their genuine demand Director of Nursing Dr. Sushil Kumar Kar had visited the dharna place and assured the striking students to take appropriate action against the principal, but no action was taken,the nursing students leader said .

“We are forced to go the office of the director and seat on dharna there in his office till our demand is fulfilled,” the students said. Another group of students however, have threatened to lock up the main gate of the hospital in protest against the apathetic attitude of the government towards the Principal.
