Lok Nayak hospital asks doctors to take 3 rounds of COVID wards

Delhi's COVID-dedicated Lok Nayak Hospital on April 23 directed the doctors to take at least three rounds of the coronavirus wards and also to take feedback from the patients on food and cleanliness.

In an order regarding the communication with the COVID-19 patients, the hospital said the directions were issued "in order to improve interaction with patients and to reduce anxiety of patients and their relatives".

The 10-point order, dated April 23, also asked the HODs to ensure that no senior resident or junior resident of the hospital resigns from the service. "Three rounds shall mandatorily be carried out in the wards," the order said. It said the first one should be between 9 and 11 a.m. by senior residents and second between 3 and 5 p.m. and third between 8 and 10 p.m. by the junior residents along with the nurses.

"Apart from the clinical care, junior residents shall be taking feedback from patients on food, cleanliness and behaviour of the staff. He/she shall report and bring to the notice of hospital administration in case any adversity is brought to his/her notice during the feedback."

The order also asked the nursing officer to take mobile numbers of the patients and ask them to call the patient for their well-being. "A grievance cell has been activated in LNH where in-house patient and their attendants can register their grievances and issues," it added. About 150 coronavirus patients have been admitted at the hospital.
