Jaipur doctors perform complex surgery on 79-year old patient

Doctors in Jaipur have performed a complex surgery on a 79-year old patient suffering from carotid artery stenosis.

The patient was admitted as partially bed-ridden to the hospital after suffering falls and injuries from fainting in the last 2 to 3 months. After checking his history, doctors found that he has suffered a right-side paralysis attack from which he had not completely recovered.
They performed an angiography which revealed 100% blockage in the left carotid artery and 95% blockage in the right carotid artery, severely compromising blood supply to the brain. After much deliberation, doctors performed stenting on the right carotid artery. They mentioned that this seemed to be the most feasible procedure because the patient suffered from a number of comorbidities too. The patient recovered and could walk comfortably within 24 hours.
