Income Tax Department officials on Wednesday conducted surprise raids on residences and Hospital of celebrated Gynecologist Dr Kamini Rao in the city and elsewhere.

Sources said that 12 IT officers commenced the search early in the morning in about 28 places including Hospital, Diagnostic Center, IVF Clinic etc., run by fertility expert Dr. Kamini Rao.The officials also took Siddartha, son of Dr Kamini Rao for questioning. Sources attributed tax evasion and unconvincing information for the returns filed by them as the reason for the search. IT officials also raided office and houses of some of the reputed builders in the City.
