Amid allegations of poor management of COVID Centre in the state, the Goa government has removed the incharge of hospital in Margao.

Dr Ira Almeida, who was heading the facility, has handed over the charge to a senior doctor from Goa Medical College (GMC) and Hospital Dr Uday Kakodkar. According to sources, the move has come after there were several complaints about the condition of COVID-19 hospital. Dr Deepa Correira, the senior surgeon, has been given charge of Hospicio Hospital, Margao.
