IMA urges private doctors to report every tuberculosis case
Business Standard Nov 23, 2018
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on November 21 has requested all private doctors to notify them about every tuberculosis patient they see, so as to keep to the End TB goal for 2025.
The IMA president, Dr. Ravi Wankhedkar mentioned that with private doctors reporting TB patients, the number of cases would have to increase ten-fold by 2020. Dr. Wankhedkar has urged all state association branches of IMA to follow through on this action and direct the state's private practice doctors to report cases.
