Health sub-centre closed for seven months consecutively in Tripura district

A health Sub-centre in the remote Shikaribari area in the Ambassa sub-division of Dhalai district has remained closed for the last seven months due to a land dispute causing much inconvenience to the local people.

According to informed sources, the health Sub-centre at Shikaribari which was inaugurated in 2010 remained closed for last seven months. The health sub-centre was built on the land of one Faidu Reang on the condition of the job of his son. He alleged, "In last seven years, the authority failed to keep the promise. I waited for it.

And now, as the authority remained numbed up, I put the helath Sub-centre under lock and key." District BJP leadership Uttam Adhikary claimed, "The health department cheated with Faidu Reang by not fulfilling its promise to provide his son a job. And now during last seven months, the authority has been befooling people depriving the common people about health services. We would launch stir if the situation is not resolved soon."
