A free Cataract operation camp has been organised at New Government Hospital on 5th November. The Camp inaugurated by Dr MK Sharma, joined by Monks, Ministers will continue till November 7.

Prominent among others present for inaugural session include Rural Development Minister Sonam Lama and Minister Education KN Lepcha. At least 300 persons would be operated upon. Dr Sanduk Ruit has been invited from Kathmandu, Nepal with his team. Dr BP Dhakal, State Opthalmology Surgeon, here has joined him. Earlier, people were sent to Nepal for Cataract operation by Political Parties but this time it is State Government inviting Experts from there.
