A nursing home in Nalasopara, Mumbai that had opened just a fortnight ago suddenly shut shop on October 30 with their medical staff fleeing the premises after the death of a 35-year old woman.

The woman was admitted to Durgesh hospital after complaints of fever. The deceased woman's cousin said that the doctor admitted her saying that she needed to be observed, but then the doctor (Dr. Yadav) took her to a nearby nursing home on October 30 by an autorickshaw. The other nursing home refused to admit her saying that her condition was bad. Dr. Yadav then abandoned the woman and fled the place, and later the hospital declared her dead at 9.30 am. when she died all staff including the doctors left the place. When the woman's family reached Durgesh hospital, they found the name board hanging on the second floor of the building missing. The hospital had been shut and all equipment and beds were missing. Dr. Yadav was later tracked down and a case of negligence was filed against him.
