Despite the PCPNDT team's best efforts at nabbing a female doctor who conducted illegal abortions at her clinic in Gurugram and an FIR being registered under non-bailable sections, a special hearing on December 1 granted bail to the clinician within hours of her arrest.

The other two doctors held in the case, Dr. Ravi and Dr. Anil Bansal are absconding at the moment. After being booked on November 29, Dr. Abha Bansal feigned ill-health and was taken to a private hospital for tests. After reports came out as normal, she apparently refused to pay the dues and the hospital refused to discharge her on those grounds. She was later arrested on December 1 and booked under non-bailable sections. However, the very same day, she was granted bail at a special hearing.
