The Chief Medical Officer of Ernakulam General Hospital, Kerala was arrested on November 2 for torturing his live-in partner's 10-year old son. 

The 33-year old Dr. Adarsh Radhakrishnan and his 30-year old live-in partner were arrested at their hideout in Mysuru. The woman and her son had been living with the doctor for the last two years. The son in his statement mentioned that the doctor used to regularly beat him up, and on October 22, when he was assaulted again, he decided to seek refuge in his neighbour's house. The boy also mentioned that his mother used to regularly assault him.
