A dentist has committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance at his Chanakyapuri Colony dwelling, law-enforcement authorities said.

Amit Verma, who had a clinic in Ganga Ashram locality, took the extreme step late Monday. The motive is unclear. He was rushed to the District infirmary from where he was referred to Bhopal and succumbed on Tuesday.
