Functioning of services of the Indira Gandhi government Dental College and hospital was affected as the nurses resorted to a sit-in-strike on September 3 to press their demands.
 

They were demanding among other things the immediate disbursement of their pending four months salary and the implementation of seventh pay commission recommendations to them.
