M3 India Newsdesk Feb 11, 2020

On January 31, 2020, Radiology, the leading journal of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has published under its feature ‘Images in Radiology' one of the first imaging studies on the coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

When the patient, a 33-year-old woman, visited the hospital she had a 5-day history of fever and cough of unknown cause. The brief paper explains her clinical conditions. Based on the epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations, chest images, and laboratory findings, her physicians made a diagnosis of 2019-nCoV pneumonia. After receiving 3 days of treatment, combined with interferon inhalation, she was clinically worse.

Imaging Technology News quoted an RSNA spokesperson as saying that the Radiology journal, next week, will publish a special report analyzing 21 cases of 2019-nCoV and an accompanying editorial on the topic,
