The Times of India Nov 16, 2018
A doctor named A Raju, who runs Kesar Hospital in Chhota Udepur, was arrested by Alirajpur police in Madhya Pradesh late on Wednesday night in connection with the child trafficking racket busted earlier this week.
The police officials said that Dr Raju, an alumnus of Baroda Medical College, had sold an abandoned baby boy to the racket’s kingpin for Rs. 50,000.
The same baby boy was later sold later to a snacks shop owner in Vadodara, who has already been arrested.
Cops have also hinted at the involvement of Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers in the case.
