Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Science and Technology donated Rs 28 lakh to Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). 

The donation of Rs 28 lakh included relief materials and medicines. During the floods, medical aid was provided to the affected people under directions from the Department of health services. Institute director Dr Asha Kishore handed over a cheque of Rs 12 lakh to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as part of the first instalment.
