AAI, BPIA to provide funds for three operation theatres, maternity ward in two hospitals in Odisha

Airports Authority of India(AAI), Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Bhubaneswar on 19th October signed two agreements with the Odisha government to provide Rs 11. 48 crore for the construction of three Operation Theatres and a maternity ward in two different hospitals of the state.

BPIA Director Suresh Chandra Hota and Health and Family Welfare Special Secretary Harprasad Patnaik signed the agreements in the presence of Health and Family Welfare Secretary P K Meherda. As per the agreement AAI will provide Rs 4.74 crore for construction of two modular Operation Theatres and one general operation theatre at Capital Hospital and Rs 6.74 crore for construction of maternity ward with modern equipments and expansion of existing building of Niali CHC. Airports Authority of India, BPIA, Bhubaneswar will provide the funds out of Corporate Social Responsibility.
