Which patient-specific and surgical characteristics influence postoperative pain after THA in a fast-track setting?

den Hartog YM, et al. – Physicians designed this study to recognize which patient–specific and surgical characteristics influenced postoperative pain after total hip arthroplasty (THA) in a fast–track setting. They concluded that the knowledge of the factors correlated with higher postoperative pain scores after THA in a fast–track setting could help to optimize perioperative postoperative pain management and preoperative education of these patients.
