Weight bearing vs non-weight bearing ankle dorsiflexion measurement in people with diabetes: A cross sectional study

Searle A, et al. - Researchers ascertained the level of relationship between non-weight bearing vs weight-bearing ankle dorsiflexion in adults with and without diabetes. They also assessed the reliability of the measurement tools. Ankle dorsiflexion measurement non-weight bearing, using a modified Lidcombe template, and weight bearing, using a Lunge test was conducted in 136 adults with diabetes and 30 adults without diabetes. Data suggested the reliability of the modified Lidcombe template and a Lunge test in measuring non-weight bearing and weight bearing ankle dorsiflexion in adults with and without diabetes.
