Lee JJ, et al. - Experts intended to inspect the correlations among 8 different fat depots accumulated in various anatomical regions along with the connection between these fat depots and multiple cardiometabolic risk factors. It was reported that visceral adipose tissue and intrahepatic fat served as consistent correlates of cardiometabolic risk factors, above and beyond standard anthropometric indices. Vital insights were gained regarding the associations between variations in fat distribution and cardiometabolic abnormalities.
