Violent crimes in a community and quality of life for its inhabitants: Results of a multi-level study in South Korea

Lee YN, et al. – The prime focus of this research was to examine the association between crime rates and quality of life (QOL) in South Korea. Data reported that increases in violent crimes, such as intentional homicide and rape, in the community, appeared to reduce the QOL of its inhabitants. Improved strategies were needed to address mental health issues related to community crime rates.
