Eytan DF, et al. – The experts examined the role of preoperative fine needle aspiration (FNA) in the detection of malignancy and impact on surgical management. They concluded that preoperative FNA was a valuable adjunct in the surgical management of parotid lesions, with high specificity for the detection of malignant disease.
