Utility of pelvic CT for surveillance of T2–T4 renal cell carcinoma after nephrectomy with curative intent

Kaiser A, et al. - Whether or not routine pelvic imaging is required during post-operative surveillance of pathologic T2–T4 renal cell carcinoma following nephrectomy for curative intent was determined. Pelvic imaging findings were negative in 97.0% of cases. Routine pelvic imaging of patients undergoing surveillance for asymptomatic T2–T4 renal cell carcinoma after nephrectomy present with minimal value and is not recommended.
