Using proton pump inhibitors correlates with an increased risk of chronic kidney disease: A nationwide database-derived case-controlled study

Hung SC, et al. - The potential relationship between using proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) was investigated in Taiwan. The Taiwan health insurance claims data analysis presented 1.4-fold higher odds of CKD, using PPIs.
