Usefulness of routine transtelephonic monitoring for supraventricular tachycardia in infants

The Journal of Pediatrics Dec 13, 2017

Yaari J, et al. - The proposition explored herein was that routine daily transtelephonic monitoring (TTM) transmissions could accurately detect supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) in asymptomatic infants and/or assuage parental concerns rather than being used solely to diagnose arrhythmias. An accurate diagnosis of asymptomatic recurrent SVT was achieved via TTM, in the case of neonates and infants, prior to the development of signs of congestive heart failure or shock. It was discovered to be beneficial for recurrent SVT management.
