Use of adapalene in alopecia areata: Efficacy and safety of mometasone furoate 0.1% cream vs combination of mometasone furoate 0.1% cream and adapalene 0.1% gel in alopecia areata

Unal M - The efficacy and safety of the mometasone furoate 0.1% cream alone with the mometasone furoate 0.1% cream plus adapalene 0.1% gel were comparatively examined by the authors in the treatment of alopecia areata (AA). Based on the yielded data, adapalene and mometasone furoate combination was found to be efficacious and safe for AA patients. Adapalene possibly served as a new therapeutic modality in AA.
