Uric acid predicts adverse outcomes in chronic kidney disease: A novel insight from trajectory analyses

Tsai CW, et al. - This study was carried out to investigate if longitudinal serum uric acid (SUA) trajectories are related to the risk of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and all-cause mortality among chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. Findings demonstrated an association of elevated SUA trajectories with accelerated kidney failure and all-cause mortality in CKD patients.
