Updated view on epidemiology and clinical aspects of pilomatricoma in adults

Han G, et al. - The clinical and epidemiological features of pilomatricoma were inspected in adults over 20 years old, as a commonly reported misdiagnosed tumor. The clinical features were similar both in adults and children. The clinical presentations guiding in the differential diagnoses were highlighted here. Owing to the similarities between the distribution and depth of vellus hair follicles and pilomatricomas, vellus hair bulbs could serve as the origin of this tumor.
