Takeuchi S, et al. - In this investigation involving 21 patients with 21 intact hips, researchers established the ultrasonographic assessment of femoral torsion angle (US-FTA) by comparing data obtained via US-FTA and computed tomography (CT). Between FTA variables obtained with ultrasound and CT, a strong agreement was found. Findings suggested that ultrasound is useful for evaluating the femoral torsion angle without radiation exposure and can be a valid alternative to CT.
