Tumor-associated macrophage infiltration is highly associated with PD-L1 expression in gastric adenocarcinoma

Harada K, et al. – This study was coordinated to investigate the expression of programmed death ligand 1 (PD–L1) and tumor–associated macrophages (TAMs) in gastric adenocarcinoma (GAC). In GAC cells, M2–like macrophage infiltration was highly correlated with PD–L1 expression, implying that macrophage infiltration could serve as a potential therapeutic target.
