Treatment duration and side effect profile of long-term use of intravitreal preservative-free triamcinolone acetonide in uveitis.
American Journal of Ophthalmology Jul 29, 2018
Ganapathy PS, et al. - Researchers ascertained the relative duration of action and side-effects of 2 doses of preservative-free intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (PF-IVTA) in uveitis. A non-inferior treatment duration was displayed by 2mg PF-IVTA to 4mg PF-IVTA. A significantly lower side-effect profile of cataract development and glaucoma filtering surgery could be carried by it. They did not observe any statistically significant difference in time to treatment failure (TTF) between injection dosages.
