Shemer A, et al. – This trial dealt with the determination of the efficacy of topical antifungal therapy in the prevention of toenail onychomycosis recurrence. The usage of topical prophylactic antifungal medications was supported in this study for preventing the recurrence of toenail onychomycosis. Those with a family history of fungal infections required a close monitoring.
