Three month clinical results with a rechargeable sacral neuromodulation system for the treatment of overactive bladder

Neurourology and Urodynamics Jan 10, 2018

Blok B, et al. - Experts strived to contemplate the safety and efficacy of the Axonics rechargeable sacral neuromodulation (r-SNM) System, a miniaturized, rechargeable SNM system for the treatment of overactive bladder. This system was found to be safe and effective, with objective improvement being reported in 91% of the enrollees. A notable improvement was also displayed in all domains of the quality of life. Findings revealed that this miniaturized, rechargeable system was designed to last 15 or more years. By eliminating replacement surgeries, it would possibly provide clinical and cost benefits over current non-rechargeable systems.
